With demand continuing to grow, and existing clients in Melbourne, Hobart, Perth, Adelaide, and Canberra, services are now expanding nationally including into Sydney & Brisbane.

The Opportunity

This firm is seeking a senior-level Marketing Consultant to guide the strategic direction of its marketing activities across Australia. The role is heavily focused on thought leadership and strategy, working closely with directors and the leadership team to position the consultancy as a trusted authority in engineering compliance.

The consultant will craft and deliver strategies that strengthen market presence, develop high-value content, and ensure consistent messaging across diverse disciplines and geographies. Flexibility is built in, but regular in-person collaboration with the Melbourne team is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own a national marketing strategy aligned to growth and expansion goals
  • Advise senior leadership on brand positioning, market opportunities, and competitive direction
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives, including industry whitepapers, technical insights, case studies, and speaking opportunities
  • Oversee high-impact digital campaigns (LinkedIn, Google Ads, niche industry platforms) and selective outdoor activity.
  • Establish reporting frameworks to measure effectiveness and ROI of marketing initiatives
  • Support national expansion across Australia.
  • Provide direction and mentorship to internal and external marketing resources

About You

  • A senior consultant or experienced marketer with a proven record of strategic marketing in engineering, construction, or professional services
  • Skilled in thought leadership development and positioning businesses as trusted authorities in technical sectors
  • Comfortable advising directors and boards on growth pathways and long-term strategy
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and industry boards within the built environment is highly regarded
  • Melbourne-based (preferred), though strong candidates from other locations will be considered if able to attend periodic meetings in Melbourne
