  • Role: Market Research Analyst – Operational Resilience Consulting
  • Location: Sydney (Preferred) | Remote / Flexible
  • Contract Type: Fixed-Term (Project-Based)
  • Duration: Approx. 2 months
  • Budget: Up to $20,000 fixed fee (inclusive of Cemoh fees and junior support)

A well-established operational resilience and risk advisory firm is looking for a senior market research analyst to undertake a focused, independent research engagement. This is a commercial intelligence project, not a content or campaign role - the output will directly inform Board and executive decision-making.

The business has solid conversion activity but lacks an independent view of why larger opportunities are being lost, how they're perceived relative to competitors, and what actually drives buying decisions in their market. You'll be brought in to find out.

What the engagement involves:

  • Conducting approximately 40 structured interviews with existing clients, recent wins, losses, and prospects who didn't proceed
  • Analysing win/loss patterns across pricing, credibility, differentiation, and delivery confidence
  • Assessing competitive positioning and identifying perception gaps
  • Synthesising qualitative findings into clear, defensible conclusions for executive and Board audiences

Deliverables:

  • A Market Analysis Report covering win/loss drivers, competitive positioning, and customer decision criteria
  • An Executive/Board Briefing summarising key findings and strategic implications

What they're looking for:

  • A genuinely senior marketing or commercial advisory background
  • Strong B2B services experience in complex, long-cycle buying environments
  • Proven qualitative research capability — you need to be comfortable conducting C-suite interviews yourself
  • Experience in financial services, professional services, aged care, health, or similar compliance-driven sectors is advantageous

This engagement is not suitable for junior consultants. The right person will be able to operate independently, draw credible conclusions from qualitative data, and present findings with authority.

Budget: up to $20,000 fixed fee, to include scope for junior support work ((inclusive of Cemoh fees and any junior support)
