Fractional Social Media Manager (Project) - Chill Fest 2026
OpenWe’re looking for an experienced fractional social media manager to take ownership of our social media presence for Chill Fest 2026.
About the Event
Chill Fest is a well-established outdoor winter event held in Campbelltown, NSW. Running for 17 days over the school holidays (3–19 July), it is widely regarded as Western Sydney’s most beautiful winter event, drawing families from across the region including as far as Wollongong. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile, community-focused event with a strong brand and loyal audience.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced fractional social media manager to take ownership of our social media presence for Chill Fest 2026. You’ll handle everything from pre-event build-up content through to daily scheduling and on-the-ground content capture during the event itself.
This role starts immediately — we need someone who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and publish social media content across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
- Create and post carousels, reels, and short-form video content
- Attend the event (approx. half-day visits) to capture photos and video on your smartphone
- Create authentic, engaging content — raw, real moments with kids and families
- Involve event staff in fun, shareable video content (think engaging reels and TikToks)
- Repurpose existing content from previous years for pre-event build-up
- Manage paid social media advertising across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
- Report on performance and make recommendations to improve reach and engagement
Who We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing social media for events, hospitality, or family-focused brands
- Comfortable creating content on a smartphone — no professional camera required
- Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok algorithms and best practices
- Experience running paid social campaigns and managing ad budgets
- Proactive, self-managing, and able to work with minimal briefing
- Based in or near Western Sydney (travel to Campbelltown required)
Target Audience
Our audience is families with young children located across Western Sydney and surrounding areas (up to an hour’s drive). All content and advertising should be family-focused and warm in tone.
Budget
This is a fixed-price contract with the following allocations:
- Management fee: up to $5,000 (inc. GST) for the duration of the event period. This includes the Cemoh fee.
- Paid advertising budget: up to $9,000 across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok

- Build-up content: commencing immediately (this week/next week)
- Event period: 3–19 July 2026
- On-site attendance: as required (approx. half-day visits during the event)
