Positioned in a highly competitive and fast-growing local market, the business has built a strong operational foundation but has yet to fully invest in structured marketing activity. This presents a clear opportunity to establish a consistent and effective customer acquisition engine.

The Opportunity

An experienced marketing professional is sought to take ownership of paid social and foundational marketing activity. This role will focus on building a scalable approach to attracting new members, starting with Meta advertising and expanding into broader content and campaign strategy over time.

This is a hands-on, strategic role suited to someone who can both guide direction and execute where needed, particularly in the early stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, launch and optimise Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising campaigns
  • Develop a clear local acquisition strategy to drive gym memberships
  • Provide direction on content, including social media and on-site creative
  • Coordinate or deliver basic content creation (photo/video) where required
  • Establish a simple, effective marketing framework that can scale
  • Advise on future channels such as email/newsletter marketing
  • Work closely with the business owner in a collaborative, face-to-face environment

About You

  • Proven experience managing paid social campaigns, particularly Meta ads
  • Strong understanding of local business marketing and lead generation
  • Experience in fitness, health, or other competitive consumer markets highly regarded
  • Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate directly with stakeholders
  • Commercially minded, with a focus on return on ad spend and sustainable growth
