About the Role
Cemoh is looking for an experienced Event Manager to own the planning, delivery and ongoing improvement of events across Australia.
This is an internal, hands-on role responsible for creating and executing a national events programme that supports brand awareness, lead generation, community building and partner engagement. The role spans strategy through to execution — from concept and budgeting to suppliers, logistics and on-the-day delivery.
You’ll work closely with leadership, marketing consultants and external partners to ensure events are commercially effective, well run and aligned with the Cemoh brand.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Planning
- Develop and manage a national events calendar aligned to business and marketing objectives
- Recommend event formats (breakfasts, workshops, roundtables, networking events, conferences, sponsorships, etc.)
- Define goals, budgets, timelines and success metrics for each event
Event Delivery & Execution
- End-to-end management of events across multiple Australian cities
- Venue sourcing, supplier management, AV, catering, signage and logistics
- On-the-ground event delivery, including setup, coordination and pack-down
- Manage registrations, guest lists, comms and follow-ups
Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Work with internal stakeholders to shape content and speakers
- Coordinate with sponsors, partners and collaborators where required
- Brief and manage external suppliers and contractors
Marketing & Lead Support
- Collaborate with marketing to promote events via email, LinkedIn and other channels
- Ensure leads, attendance data and post-event insights are captured and shared
- Support follow-up activity post-event to maximise commercial outcomes
Budgeting & Reporting
- Manage event budgets and track costs vs ROI
- Post-event reporting on attendance, engagement and outcomes
- Continuously refine events based on performance and feedback
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience managing business or professional events (agency or in-house)
- Comfortable running events end-to-end with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident working with suppliers, venues and senior stakeholders
- Able to travel domestically for events as required
- Commercially minded — understands that events must deliver business outcomes
- Calm under pressure and adaptable on event days
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in B2B, professional services or marketing-led events
- Familiarity with CRM or event registration platforms
- Experience working across multiple cities or national programmes
