A consumer electronics start-up launching a premium hair care brand in Australia needs an experienced e-commerce consultant to lead their go-to-market strategy.

The product sits in the mid-market beauty/personal care space - above entry-level, below Dyson - and will launch via an e-commerce website with an Amazon presence to follow, alongside a longer-term retail strategy targeting national chains. The founders come from financial services and electronics backgrounds, are commercially sharp, and know what they don't know. They need someone who can take genuine ownership of the marketing function and guide them confidently through the launch phase without needing to be managed.

What you'll be working on:

  • Developing and executing a go-to-market strategy for an e-commerce launch

  • Setting up and managing paid social campaigns, with a focus on Meta and TikTok

  • Building an influencer outreach and product seeding strategy targeting the beauty and lifestyle space

  • Overseeing Shopify website setup and ensuring the full channel infrastructure is right from day one

  • Advising on Amazon marketplace setup and launch sequencing

  • Potentially managing a lower-cost execution resource for day-to-day social and content tasks

What they're looking for:

  • Solid e-commerce experience, ideally in beauty, personal care, or consumer products

  • Strong paid social capability - this is a PPC and influencer-first business, not an SEO play

  • Someone who can think strategically and execute practically, and communicate clearly with founders who are new to digital marketing

  • Comfortable working autonomously across a broad remit in an early-stage environment

  • Perth-based is great, but equally open to remote candidates anywhere in Australia

Engagement structure: The founders are open to a base retainer plus commission or revenue-share arrangement for the right person, reflecting their desire to find someone genuinely invested in the outcome. A straight hourly or monthly rate works too - the structure is flexible and worth a conversation.
